Italian Sausage Rigatoni is a perfect dinner dash that you can easily make at home. It merely needs approximately 30 minutes to cook with the easy ingredients and the simple steps written below.
- 250 gr uncooked rigatoni
- 30 gr olive oil
- 115 gr Italian sausage, remove the casing
- two cloves of minced garlic
- 50 gr chopped yellow onion
- 50 ml beef broth, you may also use red wine
- A can of diced tomatoes
- A can of tomato paste
- A tablespoon of chopped parsley
- A tablespoon of chopped basil
- Grated parmesan cheese or you may also use the non-dairy cheese (optional)
1To begin, you need to cook the pasta first. Here, you may follow the instructions written in the package of the pasta to boil the pasta. Next, don’t forget to drain the pasta and set it aside for a while. After that, you may prepare for other ingredients.
2Now, prepare a large skillet and heat with olive oil in it over medium-high heat. After that, you may put the minced garlic and yellow onions in it. Saute them for around 2 minutes until you can smell fragrant, and the onions turn transculent.
3After that, you can add the ground sausage to the skillet of garlic and onions mixture. Stir and cook the sausage until it is completely cooked for around 5 minutes. Next, add again by pouring the beef broth or wine into the sausage mixture.
4While adding the beef broth or the wine, you need to scrape off the bits in the bottom of the skillet. Then, add with tomato cubes and tomato paste. Cook and stir these ingredients until they are completely combined. After that, you may lower the heat and simmer for around 10 minutes.
5To continue, you may put the cooked pasta along with the reserved pasta water into the skillet. Stir these well until the pasta is completely coated in the sauce. You may also add more reserved pasta water to the skillet to reach the desired consistency.
Finally, your Italian Sausage Rigatoni are almost ready to serve. You just need to turn off the heat and move the dish from the skillet onto a serving platter. To garnish, you can drizzle with chopped parsley or grated cheese on top of the dish. Enjoy this immediately with your dinner dish that tastes so creamy and flavorful.
